Job Purpose:

The Executive Director – Technical will provide strategic leadership and technical oversight across the company’s insurance and advisory businesses. This includes developing and managing integrated solutions across Life, General, and Advisory services, ensuring technical excellence, product innovation, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The role is critical in driving sustainable growth, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency across all technical areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the company’s technical operations, encompassing Life, General, and Advisory services, ensuring consistency in quality, risk management, and client delivery. Develop and implement underwriting and claims strategies aligned with overall business goals. Drive the development of innovative insurance and advisory solutions that meet evolving client needs. Oversee reinsurance structures and optimize risk retention strategies across all lines of business. Maintain strong regulatory compliance and technical governance across all products and services. Collaborate with actuarial, risk, and advisory teams to develop competitive pricing models and technical frameworks. Lead technical audits and ensure continuous improvement across underwriting, claims handling, and advisory practices. Mentor and build technical capacity across teams, fostering a high-performance and client-centric culture. Serve as a senior representative with regulators, reinsurers, and industry stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Finance, Law, or related fields; Master’s degree is a plus. Professional qualification such as ACII, FCII, or equivalent. Minimum 15 years of senior technical leadership experience across diverse insurance and advisory operations. Strong understanding of integrated Life, General, and Advisory service delivery models. Proven track record of technical leadership, innovation, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic management skills.
