What You'll Do

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is seeking an experienced and motived individual to join our team as a EP&P Senior Analyst, ESG Supplier Risk. In this role, you will be critical in advancing BCG’s commitment to environment, social and governance (ESG) standards within our supply chain. Responsibilities include analysing and enriching supplier data, ownership of ESG due diligence activities and developing approaches to mitigate our risk areas in both our supply chain and own business operations.

As a global business, BCG has several existing and emerging obligations under ESG regulations – you will play a key role in helping ensure that BCG remains compliant. Having established our global ESG Supplier Risk Management program in Germany and the UK, you will play a leading role in efforts to scale these learnings and establish them into our business as usual operations.

 

You will be an essential part of the ESG Supplier Risk team and will be collaborating with stakeholders across our business including Legal, Compliance and Sustainability. You will also collaboratively partner with local teams to support local requirements, and more broadly, ensure awareness and visibility to the global ESG program.



What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) is preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field, with a focus on ESG and sustainability.Proven record of accomplishment of developing and implementing supplier risk management strategies in a global organization.Experience working in a consulting environment or with a professional services firm is highly desirable.Deep understanding of ESG principles, standards, and regulations, particularly as they apply to supply chain management.Excellent data analysis skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Strong written communication skills given documentation of work performed is a key deliverable of the ESG program

Who You'll Work With

As the EP&P Senior Analyst, ESG Supplier Risk, you will sit within BCG's Procurement function and report directly to BCG's ESG Supplier Risk Director.

You will collaborate closely with key participants within the Procurement team, particularly the ESG Supplier Risk Senior Manager and the Data Analytics team, to ensure seamless integration and alignment with BCG’s procurement strategies. Additionally, you will interact with other functions including compliance, legal, and sustainability teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to ESG risk management, and partner extensively with teams in our local geographies to support local regulatory requirements.

Data Analysis and Supplier Categorisation

Conduct thorough analyses of spend data to assist in identifying and categorizing suppliers for the ESG program. You are comfortable with large datasets and identifying trends and insights which can support ESG objectives at BCG.

Supplier Risk Assessment Reviews

Support the ESG Supplier Risk Senior Manager in managing the end-to-end risk assessment process.. This includes identifying and collaborating with supplier relationship owners (SROs) at BCG as we perform due diligence on our supply chain, you will support efforts to ensure suppliers complete ESG self-assessments and help develop an approach to prioritisation based on risk.

Project Assistance and Documentation

Provide support in project management, including documentation, coordination and execution of change management strategies (with the support of the rest of the ESG Supplier Risk team). Given BCG has certain legal ESG obligations, your ability to clearly document steps and communicate and activities performed will be an essential part of this role.

Process Optimisation

As ESG due diligence processes are scaled across BCG and through our global supply chain, there will be opportunities for refinement and continuous improvement. You will aid and support process optimisation efforts; this includes identifying improvement opportunities and developing training materials.

Technology Integration

Support efforts to streamline and integrate BCG’s technology, for example connectivity between BCG’s new source-to-pay software and the platform used to perform supplier ESG risk analyses. New technology is being implemented across BCG which will change how buying is performed, to effectively scale ESG due diligences processes you will need to be familiar with our technology – you will participate in system testing and help develop user training where appropriate.

Reporting

You will support efforts to in drafting responses and helping BCG fulfil its regulatory reporting requirements. This will involve collaboration with stakeholders across the business e.g. SROs, Category Managers etc and utilisation of our ESG risk management platform, you will also liaise with local offices to finalise submissions.Assist in organising and documenting governance meetings, support the creation of reports to track remediation progress and annual regulatory compliance reporting and communicate updates to the wider ESG Supplier Risk team.
