Engineering Technician III – Quality Assurance

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Inspect purchased and internally manufactured parts, raw materials, and subassemblies for workmanship, finish, surface treatments and quality for conformance with drawings, data sheets, and purchase specifications; perform complex measurements with conventional and electronic measurement tools, develop custom setups, tooling and fixtures as required.Expedite parts through process specifications. Works with ERP systems and shipping/receiving to track and move parts through manufacturing processes.Work with engineering and assembly staff to develop inspection criteria, record and maintain inspection reports develop engineering change orders and related nonconformance, MOC and deviation documentation.

The essential requirements of the job include:

High school diploma with minimum 5 years' experience in a mechanically related field or 2-year degree in engineering related field.Ability to read technical drawings from previous experience then execute measurement techniques using precision measuring tools – Calipers, height and pin gauges, multimeter, and more advanced electronic tools.Mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of tools and mechanical assembly techniques.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Precision measuring electronic tools – CMM and other programmed equipment.SAP (ERP system) experience.CAD and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards (GD&T).
