We are currently seeking a dedicated and technically skilled **Engineering Manager** to join our pre-opening team. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this leadership role is critical in ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across the resort function efficiently, safely, and in line with Miraval's commitment to sustainability and operational excellence. **Key Responsibilities:** + Assist the Director of Engineering in managing day-to-day operations of the engineering department. + Supervise and delegate tasks to engineering team members, ensuring productivity and adherence to high standards. + Oversee maintenance of all building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing (M&E), and fire safety. + Ensure preventive maintenance programs are in place and executed efficiently for all equipment and systems. + Maintain an organized and well-stocked engineering storeroom. + Coordinate and liaise with contractors and vendors for outsourced maintenance and technical services. + Monitor building infrastructure, including interior, exterior, furniture, and fixtures, to ensure a high standard of upkeep. + Prepare and manage staffing schedules, duty rosters, and compliance with hotel break regulations. + Develop cost-control initiatives and implement work-simplification techniques to optimize operations. + Maintain up-to-date engineering drawings and ensure proper documentation. + Submit regular reports on utility and energy consumption, maintenance status, and other operational KPIs. + Conduct routine inspections across all hotel areas and lead fire safety system checks and drills. + Mentor and train engineering staff, including involvement in cross-exposure trainee programs. + Actively participate in weekly departmental and engineering strategy meetings. **Qualifications:** + Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Engineering from a recognized institution. + A minimum of **2–3 years** of experience as an Engineering Manager or Chief Engineer in the hotel industry. + Proficient in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus. + Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. + Service-oriented with a hands-on approach and a high level of professionalism. + Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations. + Knowledge of sustainable practices and energy-saving initiatives is highly desirable. **Why Join Us?** At **Miraval The Red Sea** , we offer: + Long-term career development in a groundbreaking hospitality project. + A collaborative, purpose-driven work environment. + 12 complimentary nights per year at Hyatt properties worldwide, along with colleague discounts. + A company culture rooted in wellness, sustainability, and personal growth.
