The Role

As Engineering Director, you will be a respected leader with extensive industry experience, a passion for customer-centric solutions, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality products. You will lead a team of engineers responsible for the platforms and services powering our business. Your mission is to ensure that our platform is the easiest way for patients to access their medications while evolving systems to scale with our anticipated growth.

You will foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement, defining and driving long-term roadmaps for your team and expanding your leadership across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership to build, develop, and scale our platform to revolutionize the healthcare space.Define the technical vision for your team and the broader company. Be a domain expert in healthcare technology and products, serving as an empathetic partner to our customers. Inspire, recruit, and mentor high-performing engineers, building a scalable engineering culture. Manage large-scale systems in a rapidly growing environment, working across teams to deliver industry-defining services.

What we're looking for:

Proven ability to build and lead high-performance teams, managing multiple engineering managers. Experience working in rapid-growth environments with large-scale systems. Familiarity with modern web frameworks (e.g., React/Redux), backend frameworks (e.g., Django/Flask), public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), and data pipelines. Experience with microservices, containerization, continuous integration, and delivery. A track record of leading products from conception to release and maintenance. Experience collaborating with product, marketing, business, and operations teams. A history of mentoring engineers and guiding their technical and career growth.

Desired Skills and Experience:

10+ years of experience in engineering roles. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure). Expertise in technologies such as Python, AWS, MySQL, Redshift, Aurora, Linux, Docker, Ansible, and Nginx. Ability to build scalable microservices and workflows. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. A strong background in both backend and frontend development.

Qualifications:

BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. An MS/PhD is a plus. A passion for building products that deliver the best experience for customers. Experience managing engineering teams and driving career development for team members.
