Electrical & Instrument Mechanic

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical and Instrument Mechanic to join our team at our Durant, Iowa facility!

What You’ll Do:

Conduct seasonal prep work including Annual Preventative Maintenance, Repairs, and ImprovementsAssure proper set-up, calibration, operation, and preventive maintenance of equipment, machines, and facilitiesInstall, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, industrial machinery, and production equipmentPerform electrical and maintenance functions necessary to maintain all service equipment (palletizers, conveyors, bagging equipment, bucket elevators, augers, HVAC, etc.)Accurately complete reports, logs, and maintain records on equipmentAssist in the development, installation, and maintenance of new or enhanced mechanical and/or electrical equipmentMake recommendations for improved safety through electrical programs and/or process changes including the addition of new devices and hardwareVarious other duties as assigned

Education:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

What Skills You Need:

You have knowledge or experience of the diagnosing and troubleshooting of power and electrical controls using AC and DC voltages ranging from 24V to 480V 3 Phase Motors and ControlsYou can accurately use Industrial Electronic Testing Equipment such as: Megger, Multimeter, Amp Meter, and other testing equipment as requiredYou have a valid US driver’s licenseAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagramsYou possess good computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as requiredYou are willing and able to perform the physical aspects of the job with or without reasonable accommodation: climb and/or work in elevated areas, stand and sit for extended periods, work outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to fifty (50) lbs., and perform work that involves repetitive motion and liftingYou can work independently as well as in a team environmentYou have good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsYou have high diligence, can multitask, maintain an organized workplace, and have excellent critical thinking skillsYou value health and safety! You will always work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure you, and your colleagues, go home safely every dayYou are willing and able to work a rotating shift, on-call availability, and overtime hours, which include nights and weekends during seasonal peaks to support production demand 

What Makes You Stand Out:

Two-Year Technical or Associates Degree in Mechanics, Industrial Electronics, Automation, or related fieldMilitary experience in Mechanics, Electricity, Power Distribution, or related field
