Role Overview:

The EDI Project Manager is responsible for leading and implementing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) projects with customers, ensuring the smooth integration of orders, confirmations, invoices, and other transactions. This role involves collaboration with internal teams, developers, and customers to enhance e-business penetration globally. The EDI Project Manager will analyze business cases, manage timelines, document processes, and provide ongoing support for EDI implementations, ensuring the highest standards of service and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

EDI Project Management: Lead and implement EDI projects with customers (order, confirmation, dispatch advice, invoices, etc.), in collaboration with the Global EDI Project Manager, IS, local e-business coordinators, and customer service staff. Ensure e-business expansion and secure global integration.Business Case Analysis: Collect and analyze all required information to build a valid business case. Ensure realistic project timelines and coordination with developers, customers, CSR, and all involved parties.Documentation: Write or update comprehensive documentation on EDI processes, procedures, and tool tips.Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of EDI implementations and support continuous improvements.Support and Maintenance: Monitor the EU and NA support mailbox, resolve content issues in EDI documents, and respond to customer and CS staff queries. Implement new requirements when necessary.Training: Provide training to customer service staff or sales teams on EDI processes and workflows.Customer Portal Support: Offer user support for global customer portals (Esker, Ariba, Coupa, Tungsten, etc.).New Functionality Testing: Participate in defining and testing new features as directed by the eBusiness Team Lead in SAP or other systems.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Management, IT, Project Management, or equivalent experience.

Experience and knowledge:

General knowledge of EDI and SAP SDSC; experience with SAP IDOCs is a plus.Proficient in computer skills, including Excel and Internet.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.Strong business acumen and customer service experience, focused on customer transactions and processes.Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve problems, while digging deeper for solutions.Rigorous in following processes, with excellent problem-solving and follow-up skills.Highly thorough, detail-oriented, and well-organized.Must possess strong project management and communication abilities.
