Job Description

Our Hardware development team in Plymouth, MI develops Camera based driver assistance products.

We offer an internship (full time or part time) for 6 months or longer to support the development team. 

Support engineering debugging and development testing of automotive cameras in lab and lab environment Analyze and document test results  Support in documentation and process related toolRequirements capture in DOORSTest results documentation in RQMPerforming optical performance measurements using LabVIEWCustom developed software application modulesSupport developing basic LabVIEW programsCreate 3D models for fixtures. Work with 3D printerSupport various activities in the labs (organizing, sorting, cleaning, etc.)

Qualifications

Required

Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic, Physics, or Optics with at least two (2) semester completedMinimum GPA of 3.0Minimum 18 years of ageGood communication skills and team work spiritAbility to work independently and self-organizedUnderstanding of electronic design and circuitsAbility to read basic electronic schematics and wiring plansAbility to work with basic electrical/optical instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, lux meter, spectrometer etc.Ability to use basic electrical/mechanical hand tools and using soldering ironsAbility to work in a small lab environment 

Preferred

Understanding of basic photography and camera principlesUnderstanding of basic physics and thermodynamicsBasic knowledge in NI LabVIEW.Experienced in electronic design and controlsExperienced in MATLAB. Understanding of complex scriptsMechanical understanding and hands-onGood working knowledge in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and Power PointBasic knowledge in programming / scripting language (MATLAB or Python)Understanding of basic electronic design and circuits principlesAcademic understanding of control theory
