About The Role
The Distribution Requirements Planner’s primary role is to manage stock movements across the supply chain network, maintaining optimal stock cover at each of the locations (plants and warehouses), ensuring minimum distribution costs and is responsible to communicate stock availability to commercial team
The role includes planning and coordination of stock transfers among the network nodes (including 3rd parties) in collaboration with production sites and Supply Planning teams.
Responsibility for planning of supply of imported products with manufacturing plants, 3PL’s, carriers, customs, etc.
Top Accountabilities include:
Act as the main point of contact for the commercial team regarding product supply into the market, ensuring continuity and providing clear availability dates.Confirm stock availability and inbound delivery dates to support customer order fulfilment.Generate and share the product availability status report with the Commercial and Demand Planning teams.Work closely with Demand Planners and support with planning related activitiesManage stock transfers between markets (Out of Home – OOH).Work closely with the Logistics team on warehouse space planning, market allocation per warehouse, and future inbound forecasting.Support the phasing in and out of products throughout their lifecycle.Assist in managing slow-moving stock to help minimise the write-off of obsolete finished goods.Lead on initiating stock destruction processes when required.Request stock blocking for allocation and planning purposes.Provide input into the monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) Supply Review and actively participate in S&OE (Sales & Operations Execution) reviews.About You
We’re looking for someone with a collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in supply chain operations. You will ideally have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject such as Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business.
In addition, we are looking for:
A foundational understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes, including Supply Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning, Inventory Management, Conversion, Logistics, Procurement and Customer Service.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make sound, informed decisions.Excellent organisational abilities, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas and information in a concise and engaging manner.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.Experience in Production or Distribution Planning, preferably within the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry (beneficial)Hands-on experience using advanced planning systems, especially SAP APO and Business Intelligence/BW tools (beneficial)Working with Us
