**JOB SUMMARY**
The Director of Operations & Openings, Luxury is responsible for planning and executing opening hotels within the Luxury Brands, conform Luxury Openings process. This Director has in depth knowledge about each of the eight luxury brands and the touchpoints by which the brands will be brought to life on property. She/he will be responsible for liaising with continent, regional and market leaders to ensure smooth transitions in all aspects of the opening countdown. This person is accountable for driving F&B performance especially Restaurants & Bars and execute the Luxury R&B strategy by working closely with the F&B Directors, EAM- F&B and Directors of Operations in close partnership with the Senior Director - Food & Beverage and Director of Restaurants & Bars, Greater China. The focus is on driving F&B revenue, restaurant occupancy, F&B quality and ensuring we have the right F&B leaders in our luxury hotels.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
Education and Experience
_Required_
+ Bachelor degree with 8+ years Luxury Brand Operations, F&B Operations, F&B Marketing experience on or above property
+ Broad luxury hotel experience with Marriott’s Luxury Group hotels at division head level – F&B Director, EAM-F&B, Director of Operation
+ Previous experience leading a team is required
+ Must possess strong project management experience along with organization and communication skills
+ Knowledge of Marriott’s Luxury Group’ continent and discipline organizations and expectations
+ Knowledge of Marriott’s Luxury Group hotel opening countdown experience
**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**
_Part One - Openings_
+ Manage the countdown process for MI Luxury Brands across Greater China
+ Liaise and coordinate with all key stakeholders (e.g., trainers, continent/regional/market operations leaders, and hotel teams) to ensure timelines and milestones are met in accordance with the countdown process
+ Organize the pre-opening hotel “Monthly Update Meeting”
+ Serve as liaison with the Global Luxury Operations team regarding luxury openings process / pilots, etc.
+ Liaise with GC Luxury Brand leaders to ensure the culture of each luxury brand is brought to life on property successfully
+ Assist with the planning and deployment of the pre-opening trainers and provide support during pre-opening training activities.
+ Champion luxury brand directives and strategies and educate all applicable stakeholders.
+ Assist regional and hotel teams throughout the entire pre-opening process for new and conversion luxury hotels
+ Liaise with various continent disciplines as necessary for a successful opening (e.g., Asset management, Brand operations, Global Design, IT, Learning, Procurement, Loyalty Operation, Loss & Prevention)
+ Multi-unit project management skills to ensure tracking of milestone tasks.
+ Travel required 40%+ Regularly report hotel opening date and applicable franchisee/owner communications via department processes
_Part Two – F&B Operations_
+ Manage the enhancement process of “Hotel R&B Improvement Plan – Green, Yellow & Red” by working closely with respective hotel F&B and Culinary Leaders, Director of Restaurant and Bars, Cluster F&B and Culinary Leaders, Global F&B Design Service Team
+ Onboarding newly joined/promoted F&B Leaders via conducting the “Monthly Luxury F&B Leaders’ Orientation”
+ Communicate with hotel F&B and Culinary Leaders on any F&B initiatives, programming, project, insights via variously meeting occasions - Weekly Luxury F&B Insights, Bi-monthly Luxury F&B Cluster Leaders Meeting, Quarterly F&B Operation Leaders Meeting
+ Assist with the human capital planning, workforce planning and deployment of the wisdom F&B and Culinary talents for MI Luxury Brands across Greater China
+ Liaise and coordinate with all stakeholders (e.g.., Global Design, Senior Director of F&B, Director of R&B, Brand Leaders, Regional Operation Leaders, and hotel teams) to ensure F&B Concept, Brand R&B Programing will be properly pulled through
+ Liaise and coordinate with learning department, Director of Restaurant & Bars, key partners on organizing variously F&B training program/activities for our hotel teams
+ Drive the hotel performance of the following metrics – FSQM, MTDP Review & ROS Score, GV – F&B Quality, Daily Taste Pannel Result by closely work with hotel teams, respective regional/continent stakeholders & key partners
+ Assist with the planning and deployment of the annual Luxury F&B Workshops by working with respective stakeholders
+ Assist with the planning and deployment of the annual Luxury R&B Campaign by working with all respective stakeholders
+ Monitor the respective hotel R&B renovation execution status to ensure the timeline and milestone are met according to the CEP plan.
