As the **Director of Marketing Communications and Operations** , you will establish and lead the center of excellence for all go-to-market (GTM) communications, marketing operations, program management, and budgetary and financial planning for Windows. **Responsibilities**
**Marketing Operations**
+ Drive Windows Marketing operational strategy and establish business rhythms to support the 1, 2- and 5-year vision, with measurable outcomes such as achieving growth milestones, meeting project timelines, and ensuring resource optimization.
+ Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximum return on investment, while leading the Windows Marketing budget cycle, monitoring and tracking budgets, and providing budget forecasting and recommendations
+ Oversee the strategic management of PO/Invoice submissions, monthly reporting, forecasting, long-range planning, and annual planning.
+ DeliverGTM planning motions, customer journey mapping, lifecycle management, and end-to-end acquisition and retention strategies.
+ Report out on monthly industry, competitor and customer insights as well as market trends to educate stakeholders.
+ Evaluate market potential and Return on Investment (ROI) of key marketing programs to determine areas of potential investment or divestment.
+ Partner closely with Commercial and Consumer Marketing GTM leads to synchronize all marketing, product marketing, and sales activities to ensure a unified approach across the Windows PC ecosystem.
+ Partner closely with DPS (Device Partner Solutions), Device Marketing, and GPS (Global Partner Solutions) on prioritized marketing plays and programs.
+ Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and marketing effectiveness.
**Program Management**
+ Establish a new centralized Program Management Office (PMO) and develop processes to drive program success and business scalability.
+ Establish a new intake of go-to-market projects based on assessing the new features, product, campaign, etc. and design a workflow system.
+ Lead the coordination of all Windows projects and programs, including end-to-end project planning, timelines, milestones, performance metrics, and resource needs for new innovative features, experiences, and devices.
+ Lead communication of marketing program strategies, progress, and results to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
+ Define, track, and report on OKRs and metrics for project management.
**Go-To-Market Communications**
+ Maintain and communicate a transparent product and marketing roadmap of current and future to manage expectations for future development.
+ Oversee the Windows Marketing editorial calendar. Promote and encourage brand consistency across all communication channels, including web, social media, newsletters, and executive communications
+ Lead the Disclosure, Windows GTM Communications and Key Moments v-teams.
+ Create and implement comprehensive go-to-market communication plans aligned with business objectives and strategic priorities.
+ Partner with GTM and PR on producing engaging content communication across various platforms, including executive presentations, blogs, newsletters, social media, webinars, and events to ensure consistent messaging across the ecosystem.
+ Develop Announce and Launch communications plans, including blog posts, internal communications, toolkit, and messaging guidance documentation.
+ Serve as the lead Go To Market Communication with external partners such as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs), Silicon, Retailer, and other partners.
+ Build relationships with Product Marketing, PR, Legal, Device Marketing, Engineering, Sales, and OEM/Silicon partners to ensure cohesion and coordination across all assets.
+ Partner closely with product development, sales, and other relevant teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration across consumer and commercial audiences.

**Qualifications**
**Required/Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business
+ ORMaster's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business
+ ORequivalent experience.
+ 4+ years direct people management experience or indirect people management experience (or virtual teams).
+ 4+ years experience in marketing, operationsand communications
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
+ 10+ years proven experience in marketing, communications, program management, business operations, go-to-market strategy, integrated marketing, creative and demand generation, ideally within the marketing and/or technology sector
+ 8+ years of international business as this role interfaces with global partners and teams.
+ 8+ years of experience in spearheading and overseeing extensive organizational transformation, change management, and development initiatives, particularly in data or AI-driven settings.
+ PMO (program management) or project management experience
+ Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams and fostering stakeholder relationships.
+ Experienced leader with executive presence who can represent the business to CVP (Corporate Vice President), and executives across Microsoft and partner ecosystem.
+ Willingness to travel as needed for marketing, and partner events.
+ Demonstrated expertise in managing numerous high-priority projects simultaneously.
+ Proven ability to maintain stakeholder enthusiasm and commitment throughout a project, effectively managing fatigue and reinforcing engagement to achieve business benefits.
+ Proven record of effectively motivating and coordinating cross-functional teams to collaborate in a matrixed environment, ensuring the achievement of well-defined timelines and goals
Product Marketing M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
