DescriptionThe job of Director of Finance is executed satisfactorily when:\nAll local and corporate guidelines and deadlines are met.\nHigh forecast accuracy is achieved consistently.\nSenior Management is provided with timely and accurate financial information.\nHotel fully operates under the terms of the Management Agreement.\nInsurances are up to date and in compliance with local and corporate regulations.

Key Responsibilities\nResponsible for following and understanding all Kempinski Policies & Procedures.\nResponsible for behaving in a professional and harmonious manner and following the Kempinski code of conduct.\nResponsible for understanding and following the terms of the Management Agreement.\nResponsible for supporting, mentoring and developing the finance staff.\nResponsible for supporting and encouraging training of all staff in financial matters.\nResponsible for developing the annual business plan together with the General Manager and Executive Committee.\nResponsible for conducting monthly P&L meetings.\nResponsible for monitoring and controlling all revenues and expenses and making the corresponding recommendations when needed.\nResponsible for reviewing the cash position of the hotel in order to optimize the use of funds.\nResponsible for preparing and submitting the quarterly self assessment report.\nResponsible for preparing and submitting an accurate monthly forecast.\nResponsible for reviewing and signing the Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly.\nResponsible for ensuring the preparation of the accurate and timely monthly financial report.\nResponsible for being the contact for the auditors and act upon recommendations in the audit report.\nResponsible for continuously searching for new business opportunities to benefit the hotel.\nResponsible for the control environment within the hotel.\nResponsible for keeping and safeguarding all contracts, lease agreements, licenses, insurance policies and all legal and financial documents.\nResponsible for maintaining good relationships with the hotel owners/representatives as well as external partners.\nResponsible for communicating with the General Manager on any discrepancies or other potential problems.
\n\nAdditional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel. \n

Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseNationality: Lebanese
Education: BA/BSc in finance, accounting or related field or CPA/ACA/ACCA or MBA (Financial)
Experience: 2+ years as financial controller, preferably with a 5* Hotel chainLanguages:\nLocal language – excellent oral and written skills\nEnglish – excellent oral and written skills\nAdditional language - beneficial\nCompetencies:\nAbility to work independently, thrive under pressure and/or challenging circumstances and come up with proactive, rational solutions\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to establish and retain effective working relationships with hotel staff and clients/vendors\nAbility to identify and delegate tasks effectively\nExcellent organizational and time management skills\nApplies a professional, confidential and ethical approach at all times\nWorks in a safe, prudent and organized manner\nAbility to operate computer and office equipment\nStrong affinity for Information Technology\nProficiency in Excel and Word\nExperience in respective accounting software is a plus\nKnowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles, PCI DSS and local regulations and taxation\nIn-depth knowledge of modern and complex principles and practices of hotel accounting and operations\nExperience in reporting, forecasting and budgeting\n
