Job Title: Developer 

Location: Palo Alto, CA 

Work Model: Hybrid Work Model. 

 

Purpose and Objective:   

SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Developer at our Palo Alto, CA location to work as a developer (full stack) in an Agile team setup on innovative applications and prototypes.  

 

Expectations and Tasks:  

Build prototypes based on cutting-edge technologies and topics in areas such as AR/VR, Metaverse, Blockchain, Self-sovereign Identity, Data Security & Privacy, and ML/AI. Explore and experiment with a large variety of innovative solutions and technologies to assess their desirability, feasibility and viability in a business context. Work on complex systems and integrate with SAP solutions. Show initiative and drive issues to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability, and efficiency. Resolve complex issues within the area of expertise, as well as support others in resolving issues. Enhance skills beyond own core functional focus and work on other tasks for the benefit of the team. Act as a SCRUM Master and be responsible to ensure that Scrum is understood and put into practice properly.  

 

Education and Occupational Experience:  

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field of study and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 

 

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:  

Experience must involve two (2) years in the following: 

Object Oriented Programming (OOP); 

JavaScript, Python or Java; 

HTTP, CSS, REST APIs and Node.JS; 

Angular or React; 

Architectural Modeling & Documentation, Web Services (Development to Deployment), and Service Oriented Architecture (Modelling & Development);  

Micro Services, Automation Development, CI/CD, Jenkins and GitHub; 

Security or Vulnerability Scanning, secure development practices,  and customer escalation management; 

AWS, Azure or GCP; and 

MySQL or similar relational database and Internet or Network Protocols and Services.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $115,740 - $196,740. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $128,600 - $218,600. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
