Job Description
Ensuring quality consistency in the preparing, cooking and serving of all food according to hotel recipes and standardsComplete daily checks of all mis en place in accordance with quality standardsContinually strive to improve food preparation and presentationMaintaining current knowledge of all menu items, daily specials and promotionsMaintaining proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilageAssisting with intake and storage of deliveriesEnsuring all kitchen Colleagues are aware of standards and expectationsActively participate in daily shift briefings; share ideas, opinions and suggestionsCommunicating daily with colleagues regarding guest feedbackConsistently improving knowledge and skills by assisting senior chefsAssisting with training and mentoring junior chefsMaintaining superior hygiene, health and safety standards. Includes ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipmentFollowing kitchen policies, procedures and service standards and all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageConsistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow ColleaguesOther duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment.Culinary degree or diploma preferred.Strong knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and international culinary trends.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure with grace and professionalism.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.Passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
