Data Engineer
Corteva Agriscience™ is seeking a **Data Engineer** within our Agronomy Innovation Data Team to collaborate with analytics, research and development, production, marketing, and sales teams, developing efficient data pipelines and infrastructure that power insightful product and agronomy data products, dashboards, and analysis. In this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders to understand their needs, create, and maintain data sets, and provide custom reporting solutions, enabling end users to focus on analytic processing and driving business growth. **What You'll Do:** + Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand and meet their data needs, ensuring alignment with business goals. + Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines and infrastructure. + Oversee the end-to-end data ingestion process, from data analysis to integration. + Create and maintain data sets and provide custom reporting solutions, enabling end users to focus on analytics. + Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems. + Clearly articulate opportunities for continuous improvements to existing systems with a clear understanding of the impact on business. **What You'll Need:** **Education:** + B.S. degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. M.S. preferred. **Experience:** + Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree in a related field. + Strong proficiency with SQL and Python. + Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.) + Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with data warehousing solutions + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Visa sponsorship and International Relocation are NOT available for this position. **Competencies:** + Ability to convert vague and complex stakeholder requirements into scalable data solutions. + Commitment to continuous learning and staying at the forefront of technology trends. + Exceptional communication skills. + Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, establishing trust and credibility. + Customer-focused and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to identifying business needs. + Innovative problem solver capable of working in a fast-paced environment. + Team player with a passion for learning and collaboration. **Preferred Skills:** + Familiarity with automation tools and processes for streamlining development, testing, and deployment workflows. + Ability to develop dashboards and data visualizations in Power BI or similar tools. + Basic understanding of data science concepts, techniques, and tools, such as machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and data preprocessing. + Experience working with and managing geospatial data sets. + Basic understanding of agricultural production systems and agronomy + Experience building visualizations of scientific data.
