Enterprise 5G is a new unit created to capture the opportunities in private network generated by Industry 4.0 and the advent of 5G capabilities in the Network. The number of projects and customer trials are growing exponentially. We are currently looking for a Senior support Engineer to join our Enterprise 5G Private Cellular Networks organization in Japan, with ecosystem, product and solution expertise on different levels in integration, delivery and customer support.
The Job owner will workday a day on helping our customers fixing complex issues while working closely with the engineering team to secure a fast resolution of the issues and while collaborating with product management on creating serviceability improvements for our products. The role also includes secure proactive support tools operation and maintenance as per products life cycle management!
What you will do
• Do in depth troubleshooting of radio and core incidents in customer networks!
• 24x7 On call support rotation inside the team
• Support technical questions coming from customers
• Support to technical solutions integration, installation and verification.
• Day to day management of customer issues and other support sophisticated issues
• Work closely with the engineering team to secure knowledge transfer to the support organization
• Secure proactive Support tools operation and maintenance.
• Proactively build and secure product serviceability improvements.
• Improving support service delivery quality to secure customers satisfaction
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, ensure the customer vision & strategy is communicated to the Product Owners
• Mentorship of support engineers.
You will bring
• Preferably you have a Master of Science / Bachelor degree or equivalent in any of the following: Computer Science, Telecommunication, Information Technology or Electrical Engineering
• You need to have previous experience and competence from working with 3GPP LTE/5G.
• Previous experience from Industry Connect or Private Networks is a plus
• Experience with EPC is preferable. PCC and PCG knowledge are a plus
• Radio competence valuable
• Experience in IP networking is preferable, specially related to DHCP, VRRP, NAT, Routing and VLANs
• Devices integration experience is a plus.
• Soft skills that we value are the ability to work in a team, take initiatives and communicate with others. You also need to be self-confident and have a high level of accountability.
• We handle customers all over the world and it is also encouraged of you that you should be able to travel from time to time.
• Since you will have a lot of collaborate with our Market Areas it is very important that you have strong English skills both written and orally.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken Japanese is mandatory.
