Job DescriptionRole Overview: The Cross-Border Director for the GCC region is responsible for identifying and capitalizing on cross-border payment opportunities within the Visa GCC markets. This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive cross-border strategy and action plan, serving as the primary liaison with the global/CEMEA cross-border function team, and refining our in-market strategy. The candidate will drive the successful implementation of this strategy through market-leading solutions, superior marketing, advisory services, and support. This will involve close collaboration and coordination with teams from Solutions, Marketing, Corporate Communications, VCA & Marketing Services, Sales, GE, and others. Additionally, the role will integrate key initiatives within the GCC, enhance client-facing teams with data-driven insights, optimize payment success rates, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Share responsibility on XBI and XBA PV targets delivery, own XBAC target deliveryCollaborate with the regional cross-border leads and in-market cross-functional teams to leverage existing data assets and analytical models, aiming to increase cross-border volumes for clients.Implement best practices, proven methodologies, and tools from various global markets to enhance cross-border business within the subregion.Identify cross-border opportunities specific to GCC in conjunction with Country Managers, and work with local teams, CEMEA MSC, and Global Cross-Border teams to devise optimal solutions.Support client-facing functions with insights and initiatives to drive cross-border activity and related objectives with issuers and other clients in the GCC, engaging directly with clients when necessary.Lead the development and execution of a cross-functional, sub-regional GCC cross-border strategy.Adapt the CEMEA cross-border payments strategy and programs for the market, crafting tactical plans to meet defined goals and designing effective client relationship and business development strategies.Serve as the PMO for cross-functional cross-border projects across the GCC.Provide insights and talking points for media engagements and quarterly Travel Pulse report publications.
Reporting Structure: This client-facing role reports in a matrix structure – direct reporting to GCC Head of Business and Operations and dotted line reporting to CEMEA VP Head of Cross-Border
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications• A strong understanding of, or an eagerness to learn about, Visa’s Cross-Border business, with an interest in leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Ability to define strategic needs of the Cross-Border business and deliver relevant management reports to senior leadership.
• Experience in leading, directing, and facilitating complex projects that drive organizational change (PMO experience is a plus)
• Demonstrated customer service orientation, with exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of effectively conveying messages to a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Solid project management capabilities.
• Confident and articulate expert, able to effectively engage with Visa senior management.
• Agile and adaptable, capable of thriving in a dynamic and stressful environment.
• Strong presentation skills and confidence in public speaking.
