**Credit Risk Officer**
Role Overview and Purpose: Credit Risk Management will be responsible for managing the risk of Pearson’s Accounts Receivable in all Global Business Service locations, including country risk, account risk via credit lines and risk classifications as well as bad debt losses and the monitoring of bankrupt customers.
Key Deliverables:
+ Supports in driving overall risk management principles throughout all portfolios
+ Identify potential risk, issues that need escalation and escalates them promptly
+ Assist in managing Pearson's bad debt provision entails report generation and ensuring its accuracy and adherence to the guidelines
+ Ensure on-time and accurate reporting, documentation, filling and storage, and submission of all relevant reports
+ Coordinate with the management and Internal/external audit to resolve risk management, audit requirements and control issues.
+ Analyze macroeconomics, economic activity, and the creditworthiness of customers. Includes analyzing relevant industry and financial condition of borrowers, the risk factors and prepare mitigating suggestions
+ Identify financial risks to Pearson based on the financial profile and payment capacity of the customer
+ Prepare and submit credit assessment report to the approver, recommend and or adjust limits based on the results based on the analysis of the financial situation and gathered information
+ Review Credit limits and internal rating of existing customers
+ Other works / reports assigned by the Credit Risk Manager
+ At least 2 years’ experience in Finance, preferably directly in the Order-to-Cash function and specifically in credit risk management
+ Knowledge in basic industry research capabilities, including risk and key drivers
+ Capable of writing comprehensive and in-depth credit assessment report
+ Ability to identify key drivers for change and process improvements
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences of varying levels of seniority
+ Efficient judgement and informed decision-making skills
+ Good knowledge of audit and SOX compliance
+ Highly proficient in reporting tools such as excel
