SUMMARY
The Credit Review Officer IV performs on-site credit reviews as the lead examiner; reviews will include the most complex market, region or target industry examinations, unique loan situations, and credit relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs credit examinations, as the lead examiner, of various assigned lending units, to provide an objective and independent review and evaluation of credit risk and compliance with established loan policy and prudent lending procedures.
Presents findings of on-site reviews to senior management as needed.
Follow-ups on findings noted at the last on-site review.
Completes special projects as assigned, which may include providing technical training for internal and external department personnel.
Works as the lead examiner or assistant to the lead examiner in performing due diligence exams on possible bank acquisitions.
Reviews fielding questions concerning risk ratings and other credit related issues, assessment of loan documentation, and quarterly Problem Loan Status Reports.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides coaching and training to junior team members throughout the field exam process to ensure that both timely and quality work is produced.
Mentors less experienced examiners.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries and complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to support examination findings and communicate important issues in a timely manner to branch management and higher levels, as may be required.
Ability to write reports that conform to a prescribed style and format; written reports should be such that the department manager may distribute it without a formal review, when necessary.
Ability to effectively communicate information to senior management.
Ability to recognize and promptly report potential problems while recommending possible solutions.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Flexible and able to work as part of the team, as well as work independently to meet deadlines and goals.
Proficiency in Commercial Credit analysis.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree preferred
10+ years Regulatory experience, commercial or Ag lending experience, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required
