General Purpose of the Position: The job is predominantly analytical, requiring specialized training and frequent exercise of discretion and judgment. Knowledge is typically acquired through a prolonged course of study and/or years of accumulated work experience in the field of Accounting. The analyst performs complex analysis in the accounting area, applying professional knowledge to synthesize information and draw conclusions based on the requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

Maintain the most complex global corporate client accounts, which have significant impact according to the categories and service levels established by Thermo Fisher Scientific.Provide customer service by responding to and resolving customer disputes and ad-hoc inquiries that require high-complexity investigation; collaborate with customers to escalate inquiries and provide updates to leaders; negotiate and resolve disputes; prepare and provide data for customers; educate business partners on best practices to drive compliance across the company; support special projects involving data research and review.Support document processing and data management by validating them for problem resolution using comprehensive analytical reviews across multiple systems; calculate and enter transactions affecting financial statements; complete complex investigations for fund movements; ensure contract compliance and verification; review and investigate the general ledger, financial statements, and transactional system entries to identify and resolve transaction discrepancies; analyze accounting activity, perform root cause analysis, and investigate to identify the causes of issues presented by customers or control procedures.Contribute to quality control by reviewing documentation for accuracy and compliance with standards; notify leadership team of quality issues or concerns, identifying data trends and system/process issues; conduct thorough investigations to resolve problems; share improvement suggestions.Focus on priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other stakeholders in processes; identify deadlines and expectations; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; adapt and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the open-door policy; and applying them in process execution.Maintain engagement and communication through phone, email, chat, or any other means with internal and external customers involved in the processes.Support internal and external audit processes by maintaining complete and correct operational procedure controls and providing requested information.Identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement of department-related processes to establish new strategies and apply best practices.Support supervisors and management in implementing the established strategies and guidelines.Provide support and/or advice to team members in the investigation and resolution of any process-level questions in scenarios of medium complexity.Provide support and perform any other requests required by the company's needs.

Basic Requirements (Essential):

Advanced university student in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related field and/or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years in accounting/finance.Experience in Shared Service Centers.English level B2+.MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook - Intermediate Excel.Experience with at least one ERP (Oracle, SAP, JDEdwards, and/or Mainframe).
