Job DescriptionDefine, implement and ensure compliance with operational control procedures to avoid contamination and environmental protection, occupational health and safety, and Emergency preparedness and response.Design and execute Safety and Environment Program of Audits based in legal and corporate requirements.Management, reduction, and disposal according to the regulations in force, of the residuals of JuP2.Avoid incidents and damage to the health of people. Metrics: Accident Rate, Severity Rate and Total Case Incident Rate.Maintenance of the requirements of the external certifications of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.

 

Authority:

• Apply disciplinary actions to associates under its supervision that are not in comply with internal rules.

• Stop any risk that could affect the associate’s integrity, company patrimonial or environment

Advising location management on defining the location strategy and EHS targetsAssessing legal and internal requirementsDrawing up internal location requirements (e.g., procedural and work instructions)Contributing to reporting obligations at location level (see Attachment 4 CD 03800)Providing information to affected posts about EHS issues and assisting with implementation as requiredConducting location-specific audits, inspections, and factory toursCarrying out representative activitiesActing as a contact for authorities on EHS issues in observance of RB/GF 120Assisting with training/instruction relating to location requirements and regulationsMonitoring measures, KPIs, and projects that are relevant to the locationManagement review with location managementMeasure environmental performance (CO2, Zero Waste to Land Fill, Water Consumption, Waste Generation) and in conjunction with internal clients, develop, implement, and measure the effectiveness of programs for the prevention of pollution and conservation of resources.Lead multidisciplinary teams for the identification of environmental aspects and impacts and the implementation of preventive or corrective measures (Analysis of Aspects and Environmental Impacts).Based on the Safety and Environment regulations of local, state, federal and corporate government (Internal Rules), perform compliance inspections regarding safety and environmental protection, and when there are deviations, propose and implement measures for compliance.Enforce the rules and procedures for the protection of the environment for the processes, associates and contractors that carry out activities within the plant, including the consumption of resources, the handling of chemicals, generation of waste and emissions.Determine contamination controls and ensure their correct use.Monitor and maintain within parameters the environmental indicators of energy, air, soil and water.Identify and ensure compliance with corrective and preventive actions arising from deficiencies in the environmental management system and regulatory compliance and verify their effectiveness.Develop and provide training and awareness in environmental matters and pollution prevention for partners and contractors.Maintenance of the requirements of the external certifications of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and Clean Industry.Measure the performance of Occupational Health and Safety (Accident Rate, Severity Rate, Total Case Injury Rate) and in conjunction with internal clients, develop, implement and measure the effectiveness of programs for the prevention of accidents.Lead multidisciplinary teams to identify hazards and implement preventive or corrective measures when necessary (Risk analysis 8D, Root Cause Analysis, Job Safety Analysis).Lead multidisciplinary teams to investigate accidents and incidents and determine their causes to prevent their recurrence (location analyses, 8D report).Enforce safety rules and procedures for the protection of people and property, associates and contractors who perform activities within the plant including the handling of chemicals, loads, work with machinery, tools, at heights, hot or with electricity, lockout and tagout.Determine the appropriate personal protective equipment for the job and ensure its correct use.Monitor and maintain the working environment within parameters, including levels of lighting, noise, and exposure to pollutants.Identify and ensure compliance with corrective and preventive actions arising from deficiencies in the occupational safety management system and regulatory compliance and verify their effectiveness.Coordinate the activities of the Safety and Hygiene Commission to detect unsafe conditions.Prepare partners to respond to emergencies, including the organization of Emergency Brigades, training and emergency drills.Develop and provide training in occupational health and safety, emergency response for associates and contractors.Perform inspections at the workplace regarding occupational safety and emergency response and follow up on the correction of unsafe conditions.

LEGAL COMPLIANCE IN ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND SAFETY

Deep knowledge of the Mexican (Federal, State and Local) Environmental, Health and Safety Normativity.

Responsible for complying with the corporate requirements in terms of Environment, Pollution prevention and Occupational Health and Safety, this includes preparing and maintaining the analyzes, programs and plans required by the authorities and the internal standards.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Responsible for the management of the waste warehouse and its personnel. This includes the updating of permits and authorizations for the management and disposal of waste, maintenance of logs and manifests and handling of shipments according to current regulations.

RESPONSE TO EMERGENCY AND CIVIL PROTECTION

Responsible for foreseeing and maintaining emergency response systems, these include Emergency brigades (fire, spill, rescue, first aid).Elaboration and application of Local Contingency Plan.Inspection of emergency response systems (stretchers, eyewash, hydrants, fire extinguishers).Training and emergency preparedness including planning and execution of annual emergency drills.

OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Knowledge in the follow-up to the controls implemented in risky activities such as: Confined spaces, LOTO, Work at height, etc.

MONITORING AND CONTROL OF CONTAMINANTS

Responsible for generating and maintaining the necessary studies required for pollution control in accordance with government regulations and internal RB regulations.

Generate improvement programs when any of the parameters exceed the limits or do not comply with the goals and objectives.

TRAINING AND QUALIFICATION

Responsible for developing and providing training based on Environmental, Health and Safety legal requirements and detection of needs according to performance and data analysis.
