We're looking for experienced and highly motivated individuals to help lead the delivery of services, construction, and research and development requirements for Federal Government customers. As a Contract Specialist you will provide resolutions to an assortment of problems of moderately complex scope and will contribute to the fulfillment of projects and organizational objectives.

Work Locations: Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas; Amarillo, Texas​


Responsibilities:

As a Contract Specialist you will:

Perform contract awards and administration tasksWork all aspects of implementing compliant procurements in accordance with the approved procurement systemExecute formation, bid, evaluation, award, administration, and closeout of various types of large, highly complex purchase orders/contracts/subcontracts for goods and/or servicesAnticipate and resolve complex issues in creative and effective waysParticipate in long-term planning activities with functional organizations involving multiple procurements requiring knowledge of acquisition strategies, procurement staffing capabilities and lead time requirementsEffectively work with Legal Counsel in the prevention and resolution of subcontract issues and disputes formation, bid, evaluation, award, and administration of various types of purchase orders/subcontracts for goods and/or servicesDevelopment of solicitationsNegotiate, award, manage and administer purchase orders/subcontractsInterface with functional units, customers, auditors, and subcontractorsProvide purchase orders/contract/subcontract interpretations and assist with financial, legal or technical issues, as required




Qualifications:

Required: 

Five (5) to twelve (12) years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experienceDAWIA certification in contracting or FAC-C; or, equivalent experience and trainingDemonstrated experience in administration of large, small, and moderate size procurementsWorking knowledge of change management procedures pertaining to requests for proposals (RFPs) and modifications to purchase orders/contracts/subcontracts, and dispute resolutionFamiliarity with the Department of Labor Requirements for the Service Contract ActDemonstrated experience in commercial and/or government contracting;Demonstrated experience in the formation, negotiation, award, and administration of all types of purchase orders/subcontracts within a multi-functional environmentDemonstrated experience in developing and negotiating a variety of subcontract types, fee arrangements, terms, and conditionsDemonstrated ability to interface with individual customers representing one or more affected organizationsAbility to effectively communicate in both an oral and written manner with both internal and external customers of varying professional level; and Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment with numerous deadlines and expectations




Desired:

Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution, in a related disciplineConstruction contract administration experienceDemonstrated experience with eSourcing/eAuctions preparatory to the execution of procurementsDemonstrated experience with SAP Ariba or other automated purchasing systemsBroad understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations and their applicationRecent hands-on experience in Federal Government contract management

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$62,200-$130,600
