About the department
Join the Legal, Compliance and Quality Department at Novo Nordisk Iran, where we ensure the organization complies with the legal and compliance requirements of the company. Our team provides legal and compliance counsel and help across various business areas, ensuring ethical and compliant business activities. The position
As Compliance Counsel, you will serve the Iranian affiliate with responsibility to assist Legal, Compliance & Quality (LCQ) Director and compliance function on compliance issues, plans and strategies and together with the compliance function, you will support the Compliance strategy of Novo Nordisk (in affiliate).
Other duties and responsibilities include the following:
• Provide compliance counsel and help related to internal policies, business ethics standards, and company regulations
• Support the compliance team in upholding an ethical culture and ensuring ethical business activities in compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and standards
• Assist in providing advice, preparing responses to compliance issues and queries, and developing training materials and compliance slides and checklists including facilitating and coordinating of compliance projects, review and optimize internal compliance processes, documents, and reports to ensure alignment with compliance frameworks
• Monitor functional units' activities to ensure alignment with compliance objectives and directives, and support documentation for internal and external audits
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation within the LCQ department, ensuring compliance with internal policies and requirements and assist for obtaining an appropriate level of readiness for regional or Group audits through gathering necessary documentation, conducting internal coordination, and necessary follow-up.
Qualifications
• Law Degree with minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in legal or compliance related roles (in a multinational company, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector, or in an international law firm- an added advantage).
• Knowledge of Iranian laws and regulations and strong legal research skills.
• Effective English communication, business understanding, stakeholder management, and a team player attitude with assertiveness.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, ethical judgement, and integrity. - Attention to detail and risk assessment skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and project management abilities.
