Job Description Complex Director of Finance
The Complex Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing, directing and administering all financial operations of the hotels & restaurants in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
The Complex Director of Finance reports directly to the Managing Director of the Company.
Responsibilities:
· Preparation of monthly management accounts including USALI Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, Inventory, and weekly financial reports including forecasting of profits, cash and payroll.
· Oversee hotel’s P&Ls
· Supervise and direct the financial activities of the hotels, safeguard the assets, and prepare all financial reports in accordance with USALI.
· Serve as a financial advisor to Hotel Management and Ownership Groups.
· Monitor, approve all sales, purchases, and expenses of the hotel reporting to the Managing Director.
· Assist and counsel department heads in the interpretation of financial data and recommends courses of action to maximize profitability.
· Prepare forecasts and budgets as required throughout the year and advise hotel management, corporate office, and owners.
· Preparation of departmental strategies and establishment effective goals
· Preparation of the Finance Departments’ measures and action plans related to: Colleague Engagement, Guest Experience, Revenue, Financial reporting, ALL Loyalty Program, Purchasing goal, IT key metrics, etc...
· Interview, train, supervise, counsel, schedule and evaluate staff.
· Provide financial oversight of capital expenditure process
· Assume cash management responsibilities
· Establish and audit all internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling and disbursements, inventories, hotel equipment, master keys, and personal time records.
· Ensure all licenses, permits, and insurance policies are current, and are in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
· Fluent in Italian and English
· Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and confidentiality when handling financial information. Minimum of 5-years’ experience as Hospitality Director of Finance with proven extensive experience in a similar financial leadership role within the hospitality industry, in an ultra-luxury hotel setting.
