Communications Manager DE & CH & NL
Our Exciting Opportunity! 

We are looking for a brilliant Head of Communications with experience in delivering external communications for global brands with a specific focus on tech. We are looking for someone who is logical and analytical and can help the communications team to think creatively to develop, implement and continuously evaluate the communications outputs for maximal business impact.  

You will lead Customer Unit Western Europe´s (Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands) External Communications and media relations, covering some of the most dynamic and innovative areas in the company’s 5G portfolio! The Head of Communications Manager will drive innovative and fresh communications strategies, tactics and messaging frameworks while maintaining a consistent brand across audiences. With attention to detail being the hallmark of communications, the person in this role will build a consistent approach across the Customer Unit working with Group Functions External Communications and Market Area Communications community. The aim is to deliver high quality, creative, robust content and messaging which is relevant to our diverse audiences. The target group includes media, influencers, customers, enterprises, our current and future employees, government, regulators, and the communities within which we operate. You will work on a strategic level, but you are equally comfortable to work hands on with the organization and think creatively to develop, implement and continuously evaluate and improve the communications outputs. 

You will

Craft and deliver a stand-out fully integrated external communications strategy and plan that enables Ericsson to promote our brand and increase our share of voice  

Plan and supervise the execution of the Market Areas strategic integrated campaigns covering Technology Thought Leadership, Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility, Digital Inclusion, and Government and Political Affairs, below others  

Supervise execution of the Group Function external communications campaigns locally

Initiate and craft innovative content for external and internal use, including press releases, thought leadership stories, blogs, videos, infographics and other digital content for an integrated activation in various channels 

Drive the Customer Units executive team communication and position it in social and internal channels as well as media interviews

Be a keen collaborator – actively sharing insight, experiences and materials with the communications community to learn and grow further together 

Collaborate closely and nurture the connection with tier 1 and 2 local key media, including personal connection to journalists for knowing and driving the market 

Collaborate closely with local customers, including personal connection to PR departments for knowing and driving the market 

Closely monitor media daily  

To be successful in the role you have 

7-10 years of media communication experience which should include + B2B Communications and Brand experience, experience in Government Media Relations is a plus 

Solid understanding of communications (internal and external), and marketing strategy 

Experience in various communication techniques, including earned and owned channels 

A Solid understanding of storytelling techniques, change and crisis communications and behavioral psychology (Bias, influencing, decision making and belief systems) 

German and English fluent skills (spoken and written) including excellent writing and editing skills German and English

Employee Engagement and internal communications experience is a plus
