The role involves preparing ingredients for baking and dessert production, including portioning, weighing, chopping, and storing items. Responsibilities include washing and peeling fruits, measuring and mixing ingredients, and following recipes and presentation standards to prepare and cook pastries and cold desserts. The role also includes operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, microwaves, and fryers, and testing items to ensure proper cooking. You will be expected to monitor food quality during preparation, maintain a clean and sanitized workstation, and ensure food is served in correct portions and presented to standard. Duties include regular cleaning and disinfecting of tools, equipment, and work areas, as well as checking temperatures of food and appliances. All work must be performed in line with company safety, hygiene, and security procedures. Report any maintenance issues, incidents, or safety concerns to your supervisor. Professional grooming and uniform standards must be upheld at all times. Strong communication skills and teamwork are essential, as is the ability to build positive working relationships. Physical requirements include standing or walking for long periods, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, and performing repetitive motions. You may also be assigned additional duties by your supervisor as needed. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
