Join Evernorth's Cloud patterns team in the software engineering excellent organization as a Full Stack Engineer. The team builds AWS patterns - fully architected, built and tested repeatable processes and templates. A pattern gives ready to use, tried and tested Infrastructure-as-code libraries (TF scripts), IAM policies, ci/cd config and step by step implementation guide. They enable faster time to market within guardrails of well architecture and cloud CoE practices as well as Fedramp compliance. Applications teams use these patterns for either migrate to AWS or for green field development on AWS. A typical day for cloud engineer may be dedicated to one of the following activities- identifying patterns, building a pattern, consulting problem statement, evolution of the patterns or support to application teams in adoption of a pattern. The team closely partners with cloud Coe, Enterprise architect, EKS platform teams, Enterprise DevOps, DBAs, Information protection organization and so on.
**Responsibilities**
As a Lead Analyst – Cloud Engineering, you will play a critical role in enabling application teams to adopt cloud patterns and solutions on AWS. You will collaborate with Agile teams to develop, validate, and maintain AWS patterns while ensuring best practices in cloud engineering. You must be passionate about cloud technologies, proactive in problem-solving, and capable of working independently to drive solutions forward.
The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative and high-performance environment, takes ownership of tasks, and is eager to learn and mentor others. You will contribute to delivering scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions while following software engineering best practices.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Design and develop robust cloud solutions considering scalability, security, reliability, performance, operational excellence, and cost.
• Work with product teams to build, test, and deploy cloud solutions using best practices.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into cloud solutions.
• Identify risks and potential blockers in cloud adoption and work towards mitigating them.
• Guide teams in implementing Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs while ensuring security and performance best practices.
• Automate cloud deployments and improve maintainability, testability, and observability.
• Document designs and solutions to provide clarity and enable smooth adoption.
• Support day-to-day cloud operations and help teams troubleshoot AWS-related issues
**Required Skills & Qualifications:**
• 5–8 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
• Mandatory: Strong expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to tackling complex cloud challenges.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, CloudFront, EKS, Aurora, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS Networking.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Git, Jenkins for automation.
• Strong experience in developing and integrating RESTful web services.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Understanding of security best practices in AWS cloud environments.
**Preferred Qualifications**
• Experience with Spring Boot is a plus.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or HashiCorp Terraform Associate Certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of Cigna-specific tools (RAAS, CCOE P2P, CNP, ServiceNow) is a plus.

**Location & Hours of Work**
+ Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate
+ Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India in a hybrid working model (3 days WFO and 2 days WAH)
