CACI is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cloud Architect, Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team to support our customer, U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award.  

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the Cloud Architecture processes and design cloud based technical solutions in alignment with USSOUTHCOM Objectives. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth and efficient implementation of Cloud Based technology capabilities across USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES). 

Key Responsibilities:  

Assists the Government in identifying sustainment considerations for integration, maintenance, transition to, cloud-to-cloud migration, multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments, and logistic support requirements of unclassified and classified Government/commercial cloud environments 

Assists the Government in defining product support considerations for establishment and sustainment of unclassified and classified Government/commercial (hybrid) cloud capabilities 

Assists in the design and implementation of cloud strategy and cloud architecture by interfacing with Government agencies 

Ensures applications are fully integrated into future evolutions of a hybrid cloud environment by identifying and evaluating applications to determine cloud readiness 

Interfaces with other agencies to identify infrastructure to support operations and ensure all future instantiations of "as-a-Service" architectures and edge nodes support higher order networks and do not bind the Government to a particular vendor solution 

Conducts various analyses and provides results/Courses of Action to inform Government stakeholders on costs, risks, logistics, and other impacts to the program on implementing various "as-a-Service" architectures 

Supports Government premise cloud, commercial cloud, and hybrid cloud environments for depot lab and operational/production environments 

Provides quality assurance and implements the approach for providing and ensuring quality throughout the solution to meet the requirements of the TO 

Familiar with Microsoft Azure technology and the ability to create cloud agnostic solutions 

Resides in the Enterprise Data Center Team and is matrixed to the Enterprise Architecture team to improve customer satisfaction and automation to decrease call times 

Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments 

May supervise others 

 

Required Qualifications:  

Must hold an active secret level clearance 

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field 

Minimum 10 years of experience in Cloud Systems Administration or Cloud architecture. 

ITIL v4 Foundation certification 

MS Azure or AWS Cloud Architecture or Engineering Certification 

Proven ability to lead and facilitate meetings with diverse groups of stakeholders 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

Experience with change management tools and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow) 

DoD 8140 Advanced or Similar Industry Certification 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience in a large, distributed IT enterprise 

Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles 

Experience with cloud, hybrid cloud implementations involving interdisciplinary solutions (Systems, Cyber Security, data management and cloud transportation)

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$95,500-$210,100
