About Your Business Area/Department:

Close to Report (Accounting) Team is part of The Finance Service Center for Americas encompassing 26 companies across the continent. We are not only responsible for reporting Financial Statements for those entities but also for analyzing information and be an active part of the dynamic finance process.

Summary of the role:

You will be responsible for performing Accounting processes for Amadeus in the Americas companies in compliance with our corporate / local policies, fulfill the reporting deadlines to our headquarter. Corporate / local reporting on time with high quality and accuracy. Coordinate activities shared with different areas in the company.

In this role you’ll:

Prepare, analyze, and post journal entries, General ledger, and Intercompany accounting. Manual posting of daily journal entries, following local/corporate GAAP.Management and closing of accounting entries (operations, accruals, etc.).Post payroll and other personnel expenses related (accrual holidays, bonus, severances...), account and check for monthly accruals in close relation to P&C/external provider.Intercompany accounting - check & post intercompany flows.Asset Management carry out asset accounting.Period-end closing: perform closing activities and then prepare monthly closing infor-mation and the required schedules and controls.Perform the monthly reconciliation process, control of open items, and analyze the transi-tory bank accounts.Execute year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate closure of accounts in coordination with Corporate AccountingFinancial Statements: Prepare financial statements monthly for approval of the CtR pro-cess team Lead or local managers (when necessary), following local GAAP and statutory accounting principles.Support external advisors and auditors for their audit of Group and the Statutory Annual Accounts; and follow up of identified issues

About the ideal candidate:

Education: Bachelor´s degree in Accounting. Please consider and recruit only Certified Public AccountantsRelevant Work Experience: 2-4 years in accounting departmentSkills: Prior experience in SAP is desirable (preferably S4 Hana)Proficiency in English.Knowledge of finance and Accounting processesKnowledge of IFRS local GAAP and other applicable regulationsExperience in Shared Services preferableExperience and expertise in accounting controls and financial processes within a global organization or within a Big 4 Firm.Focused on Accounting Department goals as team player.Action oriented
