Job Description
A senior role responsible for strategically developing and managing OMIG’s client relationships with Discretionary Fund Managers (DFMs), Retail Fund of Funds (Retail FoFs), Linked Investment Service Providers (LISPs) and IFA Brokerages.Key Result Areas
Develop a detailed understanding of the market opportunity for OMIG in the wholesale retail market.Build OMIG’s brand as a leading provider of excellent local and global investment propositions for the DFM, Retail FoF, LISP and IFA brokerage segments (wholesale retail clients).Develop and manage relationships with wholesale retail clients.Develop an Account Management Plan for wholesale retail clients.Prepare Opportunity Plans for wholesale retail clients with the objective of converting them into buyers of OMIG’s investment propositions.Prepare Opportunity Plans for getting OMIG funds loaded on key platforms.Deepen OMIG’s relationships with DFMs and IFA brokerages in targeted regions across the country.Where appropriate, collaborate with the client team in Old Mutual Wealth to achieve favourable outcomes for OMIG.Oversee the design, review and preparation of Client, Business and Investment Documentation including Brochures, Due Diligence Questionnaires, Fund Facts Sheets, Presentations, Monthly and Quarterly Reports etc.Collaborate with the OMIG marketing team to ensure that OMIG has a strong brand presence at key retail industry events.Provide regular formal feedback on the status of client relationships in the wholesale market including Activities, Opportunities and Risks.Embrace the OMIG culture and be a value-adding member of OMIG’s Institutional and Wholesale Client team.Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience required
Minimum of a tertiary qualification in a relevant field e.g. BCom, BBusSc, BSc. CFP qualification an advantage.Meets FAIS fit and proper requirements for an Authorized RepresentativeMinimum 10 years’ experience in the asset management industry of which at least 2-3 years must have been in a senior client or investments related role.Demonstrable relationships with key IFAs and bulk asset allocators.Industry Knowledge, product positioning and sales abilitiesCompetencies
