Duties and tasks related to the Chef De Partie role include
Participate in and supervise the preparation and cooking of all food on the given section in accordance with established recipe cards and methods.Check daily function sheets, menus, event orders and forecasts to ensure appropriate production levels.Ensure food is currently prepared to established standard by sampling on a regular basis.Ensure all dishes are correctly garnished (where appropriate) before being sent to the outlets for service.Conduct on-the-job training as appropriate.Participate in menu planning as appropriate.Coach and encourage employees in your section to adopt correct work methods.Assist the Sous Chef in the completion of market lists in accordance with Hyatt quality and quantity standards.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have relevant experience in the same or similar role within a five star hotel environment.
