DescriptionA passionate and talented Chef de Partie
Key Responsibilities· Prepare in advance all food, beverage, materials, and equipment required for service.· Cook and serve dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s menu and quality standards.· Supervise and provide guidance to kitchen helpers, including Commis, Cooks, Kitchen Attendants, and Stewards.· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area at all times.· In the absence of the Chef de Cusine, conduct shift briefings to ensure all team members are informed of residence / resort activities and operational requirements.· Collaborate with human resources and other departments to ensure optimal departmental performance.· Conduct on-the-job training for kitchen staff, maintaining records of progress and providing feedback.· Participate in probation and formal performance appraisals in line with company guidelines.· Ensure new staff complete both corporate and departmental orientation within the required timeframes.· Coach, counsel, and discipline staff as needed, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance.· Support the preparation and management of the department’s budget and be aware of financial targets.· Promote recycling and cost-saving measures within the team.· Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with residence / resort procedures.· Communicate any operational challenges, guest feedback, or relevant information to management.· Adhere to HACCP and all food safety regulations, ensuring a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.· Additional responsibilities may be assigned according to business and hotel needs.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise· Gastronomic education certification or equivalent (apprenticeship/diploma/BA/BSc).· HACCP certification is required.· Minimum 3 years of kitchen experience; luxury hotel, residence / resort experience preferred.· Proficiency in English· Ability to work as part of a team, remain calm under pressure, and provide proactive solutions.· Organizational and time management skills.· Ability to delegate tasks effectively and foster a positive team environment.· Professional, confidential, and ethical approach at all times.· Ability to operate kitchen and office equipment.
