The Chef de Cuisine will lead the Culinary team of our upscale 3-meal restaurant- Grand Met, which also produces delectable dishes for the Lounge and In Room Dining. **Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** + Develop and implement creative menu items within the restaurant concept + Assume the role of liaison between all dining room operations and culinary teams + Supervise the preparation and cooking of various food items + Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment + Manage culinary colleagues through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring + Manage other key culinary leadership rolls including Assistant Sous Chefs and Supervisors + Lead, inspire and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and colleague satisfaction results + Monitor food production, ordering, cost, and quality and consistency on a daily basis **Qualifications & Requirements:** + Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers + Maintain a high level of responsibility and attention to detail + Ability to adapt under pressure + Minimum 2 years Culinary leadership + Culinary degree or related culinary hotel experience + Requires very little supervision and training + Must have physical stamina to lift, push, and pull moderate amounts of weight + Must be able to stand for entire shift + In-depth skills and knowledge of all kitchen operations with ability to perform all advanced cooking skills + Possess strong leadership, communication, organization and relationship skills + Proficient in general computer knowledge + A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast-paced customer service environment + Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner + Flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays as well as AM, Mid and PM shifts Hyatt colleagues work in an environment that demands exceptional performance yet reaps great rewards.
