Capacity Planner and IE Technician F/M/X

Job Description:

As Capacity Planner, the job holder is responsible for the volume planning of all RC items produced on the site of STD. The jobholder assures feasible planning plans over the full S&OP+ horizon, balancing market & replenishment requirements and site capacity, assuring the appropriate Service-, Cash- and Cost-targets within the frame of Service Level Agreements. Job holder is in contact with local pack / production scheduler for the short term production scheduling. The job holder is a key contact between the Factory and the Central Planning Teams for any planning related topics. Works closely with local customer service team to understand short and mid term tensions on the market / sister factory and adapt planning accordingly.

As an IE technician, the job holder will be essentially responsible to define mid- and long-term capacity for the RC products and RC dedicated lines, and some of their targets included in a list of defined KPI, + follow them through periodic reporting shared with regional stakeholders. The job holder will be responsible also for maintaining industrial calendar for all STD lines, including RC.

What are we looking for? 

Ideally, you’ll have 2-3 years experience in the supply chain, including experience with inventory management or materials planning. 

You’ll have worked within Fast Moving Consumer Goods organizations in the French market.  

We want someone who is a confident PC user (SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)), production planning systems. 

You’ll have ability to optimize work processes and high communication skills.

You’ll also need to hold a Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Level. 

What will be your key responsibilities? 

Make Feasible Plans

S&OP cycle preparation, capacity evaluation (short and mid-term (2years horizon)), loading, visibility per line. Evolution of the cycles / periodDelivery of feasible production plan for the factory scheduling. – Keep awareness and understanding of production line performancesSupport pack / production scheduler for defining weekly production scheduling, and in making changes in weekly production scheduling, when required.Document slides for periodic meeting – Key data, analysis, R&O.Scenario planning approach, capacity optimization, balance between the lines.Follow up of new product implementations / export and assess impacts on plan.Key contact for Royal Canin, interface with EUREKA projectDrive continuous improvement of their own contribution in the E2E supply planning area. 

Maximize site output to secure service, including support to BRK.

Drive the resourcing process within agreed production line groups and swing items sets.Review of critical control data to drive effective resourcing and replenishment process.Prepare recommendations for permanent or temporary resourcing.Support the assessments of What If on the specific request based on the scenario planning process.Provide exceptional recommended shipment quantities (such as stock released after blocked, some overproduction…)In case of accumulated short-term deviations to plan, proposes recommendations to fix volume gap. 

Define capacity and follow up of site performance on RC portfolio 

Defines mid to long-term capacity for the RC products and RC dedicated linesDefines utilization rates targets and follow them through. Proposes recommendation / alternatives when required (extended shift, extra time…)Defines some of the targets included in a list of defined KPI, follow them through periodic reporting shared with factory director and senior regional stakeholders.Responsible for monitoring of factory performance vs plan to help drive continuous improvement activities (ATS, PPP, TRS, slipping schedule follow-up, local warehouse operation)Monitor production rates and maintain industrial calendar

Operates the site planning processes  

Co-ordinates information flow locally: represents planning in FMOS/R-MOS.Responsible for factory data quality in the system,Works closely with Activity management to create new items in local systems,

Site logistics contact for the community

First point of contact for all planning related topics.Communication and/or escalation if required based on the agreed process.Point of contact from the plant for any short/mid/long-term planning related topics.Owns communication and/or escalation if required in accordance with the Factory Supply Chain Manager.Works closely with local customer service team to understand short and midterm tensions on the market and adapt planning accordingly.

Other accountabilities (if applicable):

Maintain the right business understanding of the planning processes, Kinaxis/Atlas planning system and interfaces and operate the process on daily basis.As a custodian, educate direct key stakeholder in new ways of working.Owns the Kinaxis/Atlas data maintenance accuracy, such as safety stock, lot size, MOQ, system calendar.Ensure that business reporting requirements are met either in Kinaxis/Atlas or any other business reporting tool

The jobholder has a key role in being the interface of all stakeholders within the planning/scheduling flows from forecast to final production and even beyond in terms of stock management support. The Job holder is responsible for the overall planning process and her/his role is critical to allow the right capacity to fulfill the forecast and reach customer services target level.
