About this opportunity:
Supply Product Management & Product Lifecycle Management (PLCM) develops, maintains, and enhances supply chain capabilities for product lifecycle management, including new product introduction (NPI), phase-in/phase-out processes, and supply product management. This role drives cross-functional collaboration across supply chain, commercial, R&D, procurement, and manufacturing to optimize responsiveness, cost efficiency, and service levels throughout the product lifecycle.
What you will do:
- Capability Development & Governance
- Define and improve supply chain capabilities related to PLCM and Supply Product Management.
- Establish governance frameworks, best practices, and SOPs for product lifecycle transitions.
- Develop training programs to build PLCM expertise within the organization.
- Ensure process adherence and integration with Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
- Apply PLM technology knowledge (sales and design product structures) to strengthen product connections.
- Utilize supply chain design expertise to align logistics flow with supply planning for cost efficiency.
- Oversee supply chain readiness for NPI, product transfers (TPI), and phase-outs, minimizing disruption and optimizing inventory.
- Partner with supply planners to design phase-in/phase-out strategies while balancing demand, supply, and financial impacts.
- Optimize inventory strategies to reduce obsolescence and excess stock risks.
- Support scenario planning and risk mitigation for product transitions.
- Work with commercial, R&D, procurement, manufacturing, and finance to align supply chain requirements with business objectives.
- Serve as a key liaison between product management and supply chain functions, integrating supply considerations into product decisions.
- Lead or contribute to IBP development, providing insights on product lifecycle supply challenges and opportunities.
- Data-Driven Decision Making & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track PLCM performance KPIs (inventory health, supply disruptions, obsolescence, service levels).
- Leverage data analytics and digital tools to enhance product lifecycle visibility and decision-making.
- Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives for supply chain agility.
The skills you bring:
- Understanding of product lifecycle stages (NPI, phase-in/phase-out, EOL) and their supply chain impact.
- Experience in product transitions and inventory/service level management.
- Ability to collaborate with R&D, commercial, and product teams to align supply chain needs with product strategies.
- Knowledge of project/program management principles (planning, risk management, lessons learned).
- Strong understanding of supply planning, inventory management, and replenishment strategies across product lifecycles.
- Experience in S&OP and S&OE for seamless supply-demand coordination.
- Knowledge of supply risk management, obsolescence reduction, and supply flexibility strategies.
- Expertise in forecast planning and demand-supply balancing, especially during product transitions.
- Ability to define and track KPIs related to product lifecycle performance.
- Strong analytical skills to assess product introduction, phase-out, and transition scenarios.
- Experience in data-driven decision-making and process improvements within an IBP-driven environment.
