The Buyer III is responsible for ensuring materials arrive on site, on time, working in-line with our global commodity strategies. The Buyer III is expected to serve as an mentor within the team, providing coaching and support to other team members and solving the most complex problems or materials challenges in this production site. This position reports to the Sr. Director Supply Chain and is part of the materials team located in New Port Richey Florida and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Kanban Deployment– deploying the process throughout the site leading Kaizen and daily work. + Maintain deployed Kanbans to ensure they support the manufacturing site and PFEP requirements. + Identification of material issues, over design and shortages and using problem solving to identify & implement countermeasures. + Ensuring that Purchase orders are correctly maintained through their life cycle to ensure on time delivery of goods and strong vendor relationships including timely payments etc. + Collaborate with the materials team to provide Sourcing teams and our vendors with accurate usage information for our materials to support Heijunka and supplier expectation acceptance. The essential requirements of the job include: + Bachelors’ degree with 2+ years of experience, or High School degree/GED with 4+ years buying/purchasing experience. + Demonstrated agility communicating, following up and negotiating with vendors, including awareness of materials strategy + 2+ years experience working with Excel, ERP/MRP, SAP preferred + Experience in a continuous improvement/lean environment It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Previous experience expediting materials + Experience working in a manufacturing environment and communicating with production operations + Strong Lean Methodology #LI-MR1#LI-Onsite Join our winning team today.
