GENERAL SCOPE

Manages an assigned account, or group of accounts, with the primary responsibility to create value for the assigned customers through the technical service they provide; and identifying new product opportunities and selling to existing customers. A Sales Service Professional’s sole focus is to maintain revenue, price capture and to improve gross profit. A Sales Service Professional may work on attaining new business where appropriate, but that is not their primary assignment or job responsibility.

Good knowledge of the job.  Substantial acquaintance with and understanding of general aspects of the job with a limited understanding of the technical phases of the job.

JOB COMPLEXITY

Performs a variety of activities which involve standard procedures.  Gathers and manipulates common data, verifies adequacy and appropriateness; develops charts, diagrams, and standard reports.  In technical or production positions, may also set up and operate standard electronic or mechanical equipment used to develop, produce and/or test products or process data.   

IMPACT

Impact to overall activity limited to immediate functional area. Errors could result in rework, and minor schedule impact.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and developing sales opportunities within a defined Territory, joint Business Development and support with selected Distributors for Hospitality, Ware Washing and Laundry Customers and Management and development of specified Key Accounts or Customers. This position is a key sales development position focusing on the hospitality Sector and defined Machine Ware Washing Housekeeping and On-Premise Laundry opportunities. 

Develop and manage relationships with regional Management Groups and Large Local Accounts.
Meet with large customers and key decision-makers to discuss business opportunities and solutions; prepare detailed visit reports summarizing discussions, actions, and follow-up items.
Oversee the implementation of Key International Contracts and Franchise networks.
Engage with high-level decision-makers at customer headquarters and regional/local operational management.
Ensure successful account setup, including training, demand planning, and ongoing customer relationship management.
Create and execute Joint Business Plans with customers and prospects to deliver added value and identify opportunities for innovation and customer solutions.
Coordinate with North American Cross-Functional Management and Global & Regional Account Management teams.
Manage an active Business Development Sales Funnel using the “Salesforce” system to track and drive sales progress.
