The Business Development Director – Healthcare is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive growth strategy for North America (NAM), driving market expansion and profitability within the healthcare sector. This leadership role focuses on increasing market share in acute care and other healthcare segments by leveraging innovative products, strategic partnerships, key industry associations, and channel partners. The Director will identify new business opportunities, build sustainable customer and business partner relationships, and deliver differentiated solutions that enhance value for healthcare providers and patients.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & ExecutionDevelop and execute an integrated business development plan for expanding in acute care and other healthcare markets, including target identification, winning strategies, and tactical execution.Market & Industry Engagement
Manage engagement and investment with key industry associations, including HIDA, APIC, IPAC Canada, AORN, and AHE, to drive brand visibility, thought leadership, and market influence.Channel & Partnership Management
Leverage and grow strategic partnerships and channel relationships to expand market share, accelerate growth, and maximize profitability.Voice of Customer & Solution Development
Direct initiatives to gather and integrate voice of customer insights, collaborating with portfolio marketing, infection prevention experts, and sales leaders to develop and deploy winning value propositions and training programs.Competitive & Market Intelligence
Analyze industry trends, competitive intelligence, and organizational capabilities to inform strategy and differentiate offerings in the marketplace.Innovation & Vendor Collaboration
Manage partnerships with select vendor partners to drive innovation, co-develop solutions, and capture new growth opportunities.Marketing & Demand Generation
Oversee healthcare marketing initiatives with channel partners and GPOs to enhance demand generation, customer engagement, and market penetration.Budget Management
Manage and optimize budget allocations and overall spend to maximize return on investment and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated high level acumen in healthcare marketso Thorough grasp the impact of regulations on products, distributors and consumers
o Full understanding of how to drive successful deployment in the healthcare marketStrong presentation skills – ability to write, teach and present technical content to industry experts such as Administrators, Infection Preventionists, Epidemiologists, Clinicians and Environmental Services personnelExcellent communication skillsStrong financial acumen and experience in data analyticsBachelor’s Degree Required, emphasis in Marketing or Business preferred15+ years of experience in a senior sales/marketing position is required5+ years of healthcare market experienceAbility to travel up to 35%
