Job Description: The Senior Product Expert – Sales Specialist will lead critical and strategic (often cross-functional) sales initiatives. As a sales-oriented product expert who frequently presents to enterprise customers, you will guide the sales approach to maximize deal size across all Pearson products. Top Responsibilities:
Lead Critical Projects: Become the Sales Specialist Expert in assigned product areas, leading significant and high-risk projects that require specialized domain expertise. Strategic Influence: Partner with product teams to align Pearson’s offerings with evolving enterprise customer needs and market trends, influencing strategic decisions. Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor and provide guidance to peers and junior colleagues, serving as a technical advisor within the team. Enterprise Customer Projects: Guide and lead enterprise customer projects within these assigned product families, ensuring successful execution and delivery of key outcomes. Sales Leadership: Support sales leads in managing Pearson’s enterprise account sales, developing and managing “off-the-shelf” solutions with the highest return. Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders inside and outside the business to enhance and uncover business opportunities. Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with sales leads to close business, ensuring cross-functional alignment, timely approvals, and coordinated execution of the sale. Framework Development: Develop and refine value-adding repeatable frameworks, project plans, and best practices for successful initiatives. Customer Needs Response: Mobilize cross-functional teams to respond to customer needs, streamlining deal structures, approval processes, and contracting cycles to improve deal size and velocity. Sales Strategy: Turn account intelligence, competitive insights, and revenue forecasting into new sales strategies for value delivery and incremental revenue growth. Solution Selling: Listen, present, discover, and lead with the sales teams, cross-functional teams, or individually to achieve sales targets. Remote Meetings Management: Manage excellent remote meetings for high-stakes opportunities.General Responsibilities:
Professional Presentations: Create compelling and professional PowerPoint decks for internal and external presentations; deliver the presentations as needed. Process Optimization: Optimize processes, tools, operations, and data analysis to drive sales growth. Executive Briefings: Prepare and present reports and readouts for executive briefings. Progress Communication: Ensure timely and accurate communication of progress and key insights to senior leadership. Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement comprehensive plans to drive growth and operational efficiency.Key Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a corporate or enterprise business environment. Proven track record in leading critical projects and managing enterprise accounts. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Microsoft Office Specialist certification a plus). Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and deliver professional presentations (Critical Career Skills: Professional Communication certification a plus). Experience in customer-facing and solution sales conversations. Demonstrated ability to execute sales acceleration initiatives and drive mutual success and growth.
