Business Analyst

About the Role

Oracle is building a dynamic customer benchmarking and data analysis program, as part of Engagement Services, within Global Revenue Operations. The Business Analyst will be responsible for developing and building out a programmatic approach to benchmarking, data sourcing and related content creation across the organization, focusing on making relevant data available at all stages of customer engagement. The program will support the Applications and OCI solution areas and focus on analyses and content that can be leveraged globally.  This role will work closely with Business Value Services, RFx, sales, marketing, finance and other parts of the Oracle ecosystem.

What will this Role entail:

The role will include, but not be limited to:

Use case development: 

Development of a comprehensive set of use cases, with partnering teams, where data elements can be leveraged Collaborate with the regions and corporate on data needs and sources Collection, curation and analysis of data and content related to competitors and Oracle’s success selling against those competitors

Development of processes related to data taxonomy, partnering with regional and global teams and data collection cadences

Data management procedures:

Development and maintenance of Oracle specific improvement benchmarking through value realization activities, customer validated business cases and 3rd party research Initiate the process of benchmarking through product telemetry Optimization of 3rd party data sources contracted by Oracle (e.g. D&B, APQC, etc.) Development of a central repository for data sourcing Identify gaps in benchmarking and data source needs

Program Governance:

Develop and manage pilot programs/ use cases Coordinate roll out across sales systems Report on program effectiveness and link to all-bound funnel reporting

Support for the development of GTM facing services, tools and content, in particular the development of new tools and service offerings

Evangelize benchmarks and use cases across sales and marketing teams

On an as-needed basis, support analytics needs across the organization

 

Desired ability and experience:

Experience and Education:

8+ years of experience in business analysis, market research, value services, or consulting in technology companies. Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degree highly desirable

 

Analytical Skills:

Ability to effectively gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop quantitative and qualitative analyses. Advanced knowledge of Excel and other analytics tools a plus. Technology Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the Saas software and Cloud Technology markets.
