Biosciences Laboratory Scientist (Metagenomics) – Join Our Team at Mars

Mars is seeking a Biosciences Laboratory Scientist to support research projects through high-quality data generation and laboratory expertise.

What are we looking for?

BSc in Biochemistry, Biology, or related field

3+ years’ lab experience (research setting preferred)

Proficiency in bioscience techniques (DNA extraction, PCR, cell culture, assays, microbiology)

Experience with Next Generation Sequencing (preferred)

Strong data analysis skills (Excel, GraphPad Prism, R)

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively

Experience with LIMS and QSHE standards (risk assessments, SOPs, equipment maintenance)

Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

What will be your key responsibilities?

Perform laboratory methodologies, ensuring data accuracy

Contribute scientific insights and support method development

Maintain equipment and train colleagues in best practices

Present research findings and maintain lab records (ELN)

Support efficiency improvements and contribute to reports/publications

Ensure compliance with QSHE standards
