Bid Manager, Airport Pre-Sales

What You’ll Do

1. Customer Engagement

Build rapports and communicate effectively with individuals and groups of customers to elicit an understanding of the customer's objectives, challenges, pain points and business requirements.Present with authority and credibility to individual users and customers a subset of the Amadeus Airport Solution Portfolio and demonstrate how these solutions address the customers' needs.  This will include challenging the customer's requirements and convincing the customer of alternatives, influencing the decision-making process, being perceived as a trusted advisor, etc.Assist in the development of solution proposals to address customer requirements expressed within RFPs/RFIs.Leverage the Amadeus Airport Solution portfolio, and approved 3rd party vendor services, to define sustainable solutions to meet the customer's functional and commercial needs.Work with the Product and Delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition from the sales process to the implementation project.Maintain engagement with the customer, Product and Delivery teams to ensure that the proposed solution is implemented as intended and only altered to meet evolving customer requirements through an agreed change management process.

2. Solution Design:

Exhibit strong listening and analysis skills to understand and address the real customer need, identify candidate solutions and address gaps.Assist the Solution Design team in building a vision of the solution by leveraging exposure to various industry and company sources, past experience with other customers and the expertise of other team members.Proactively communicate the context and detail of the solution to ensure engagement of all stakeholders required to ensure the successful proposing, contracting, delivery and operation of the solution.

3. Commercial and Business Case Development

Work with the Sales Management to identify which key value items will be of interest to each customer key stakeholder.Ensure that the Cost drivers within the solution are well understood by the Solution Design team to help drive successful and efficient negotiations.Work with the Solution Design and Finance team to support preparation the Customer business case.

4. Development & Engagement

Promote and foster the development of team capabilities to meet current and evolving organizational requirementsProactively ensure that the Work Product Deliverables produced by the team are of appropriate quality and fit for their intended purposeFacilitate stakeholder engagement between a number of stakeholder groups within Amadeus and Airport IT with divergent interests - including, but not limited to: Sales & Account Management, Delivery & Implementation, Airport Customer Services, Operations & Support, Product Management, Legal and Finance.Manage the diversity of interests between these groups and proactively seek assistance from senior leadership when appropriate

Common accountabilities:

Has the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in the airport business domain. Knowledge of the Amadeus business and how it is related to the Airport domain. ​Works using existing procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions. Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information.​Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction from manager.

Specific accountabilities:

RFP/RFI engagements and unsolicited proposals:

* Construct high-level project timelines for the RFP answer. Identify & secure resource requirements from relevant groups (Product Management/Engineering/Customer Services) and coordinate all components/inputs to the answer

Engagement Planning, monitoring and reporting:

* Ensure effective handover of IT sales projects to project implementation teams

Solutions presentations and demonstrations:

Assist in the production and delivery of solution-related presentations including product demonstrations, translating software features into benefits for solving customer business problems in order to maximize the customer's perception of solution value

Produce high level plans and provide high level presentations on migration and implementation activity

Scope definition and approval process:

Lead Technical Scoping workshops in identifying and referencing all gaps and interfaces to be developed. Interaction with Amadeus and customer senior management required

Coordinate different functional streams on the customer side with Amadeus PM and Product Definition teams in order to ensure end to end solution consistency and viability

Coordinate the approval process ensuring sign off of customer and Amadeus groups

Amadeus portfolio evolution

Contribute to Amadeus solution strategy and portfolio evolution by feeding market & customer solutions requirements to Marketing and Product Management for product qualification

Whenever possible, analyze solution offerings of competitors and inform Product Management and IT Marketing accordingly

About You

Minimum Experience:

At least 4 years of experience in aviation industry.Academic diploma.Strong understanding of business operations and strategic thinking.Strong communication skills and ability to interact with multiple stakeholders at all levels.English language is mandatory.
