BEVERAGE MANAGER

Job Summary

The Beverage Manager is responsible for leading a beverage program with a focus on modern mixology, curated wine selections, and exceptional guest service. This role is responsible for the strategic development, procurement, and execution of all beverage offerings, while also overseeing  staff recruitment, training, and performance.

Job Duties & Functions

Design and manage an elevated beverage program with a strong focus on premium mixology and guest experience. Develop and execute a strategic approach to liquor and wine selection, pricing, and procurement. Oversee the sourcing, ordering, and inventory control of all beverage-related products. Lead hiring efforts for the beverage team; conduct interviews, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations. Coach, mentor, and support team members to maintain high service standards and encourage professional growth. Collaborate closely with management, accounting, and procurement teams to ensure smooth beverage inventory and cost efficiency. Identify high-performing team members for future growth opportunities and provide ongoing training and development. Facilitate training programs for new hires and ongoing staff education across bar, server, and support teams. Monitor daily service operations to ensure excellence in execution and guest satisfaction. Partner with the Executive Chef to ensure a seamless pairing between food and beverage offerings. Support menu development and product quality control in alignment with market trends and brand standards. Assist senior F&B leadership in setting annual financial goals and budgets for the beverage department. Maintain strict cost controls, focusing on beverage Cost of Goods Sold, labor, and operational efficiencies.

Education & Experience

Minimum of 4 years of accredited experience in high-end mixology and wine programs, including  at least 2 years in management or leadership role handling multiple outlets. Pre-opening experience is highly preferred. Strong understanding and ability to train the team on Forbes/ AAA luxury standards. Strong understanding of restaurant financials, product mix and cost controls. Strong understanding of hospitality-focused public relations, and marketing—experience with international media outlets is a strong advantage. Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Certifications, as required by local regulations. Advanced education or certification in beverage studies, with deep knowledge of wine and spirits. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. A passionate and driven hospitality professional with a strong commitment to guest experience and service excellence.
