Our Norwich, NY location is part of our Applied Health and Nutrition Division and one of our specialty sites that creates proteins, lactose, coatings, and flavors. The location lies within Chenango County and is advantageously located within a 50-mile radius of the major cities of Binghamton, Syracuse, Utica, Cooperstown and Oneonta.

SHIFT: 7:15am-7:45pm Working 3 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2 off - every other weekend off.
The wage for this role is $19.00 per hour and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications. This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime. Set batches of protein hydrolysates according to established procedures and standard manufacturing outlines for the products. Assure that proper amounts of material are on hand for setting a particular batch previous to starting the actual setting.

Utilize SAP to ensure transactions are complete and accurate when issuing and receipting items. Select tank for a batch that is compatible with other products being set and processed. Complete Master Batch Record, Logbooks and other documentation clearly and accurately. Individual is expected to keep their work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition. Individual should be able to operate forklift truck in a safe manner and use proper safety measures. Must be able to lift up to 60 # bags/boxes max. at a rate of 2 per minute. Demonstrates leadership in the area of safety. May be required to handle hazardous waste (internal training provided) Qualifications and skillsWhat you'll need to be successful and safe:
Have a good working knowledge of arithmetic and be confident in its use. Be neat and consistent in whatever this individual does. Be able to write clearly and legibly. Be able to read and understand written instructions from the department supervisor or shift group leader. Be capable of strict adherence to company policies and yet able to use common sense in making many daily decisions required in this position. Individual should be capable of adjusting his/her work schedule to the requirements of the department. Individual should realize that overtime is sometimes required in order to complete a particular batch or batching sequence.
REQUIREMENTS:
