Compensation: $17.00 to $18.00 per hour, plus tips, Full-Time Overview
The Barista will perform several job duties and provide customer service.The Barista will take orders and make coffee, tea, and other drinks to customer specifications. Baristas also operate cash registers and credit card machines.
Responsibilities Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds Ability to stand during entire shift. Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times. Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with fellow associates and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests. Must be able to multitask and prioritize to ensure outstanding service. Approach all encounters with guests and associates in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner. Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel. Qualifications Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues. Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create a warm and welcoming environment during each shift. Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. Delivers outstanding customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs. Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that associates can locate resources and product as needed. Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
