Banquet Events Manager
Full-Time What you will be doing

The Banquet Events Manager will be responsible for managing banquet events at the hotel. This person supervises event room set-ups, service, and maintenance of all banquet functions and banquet equipment. This role is a highly detailed role within the hotel to complete event requirement and create an appealing experience for guests.  The Banquet Events Manager provides organization, instruction, communication, and coaching as well as exercises good judgment while administering our Food & Beverage quality standards.  This position will report to the Director of Food & Beverage.

The ideal candidate for this position

Job Qualifications 

Requires a minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience Requires a minimum of 3 years of F&B experience In preparing for this position, candidate ideally will have worked in at least the following departments: Banquets, Catering, Culinary, Event Planning

Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends

Technical Requirements:

*Experience supervising numerous events at the same time

*Maintain a balance between floor supervision, administration, employee training and mentoring, and hosting/communicating with groups

*Assure consistency in service though ongoing training

*Coordinate meal and set-up requests with appropriate Departments

*Maintain written and verbal communications with Meeting Planners and Groups

*Excellent communication with Culinary, Catering, and Sales

Managerial Requirements:

*Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills

*Demonstrate team building experience

*Experience training and cross-training employees

*Coach employees how to resolve and de-escalate conflicts

Business Skills:

*Excellent time management skills

*Good knowledge of computers

*Strong customer service orientation and skills

*Exceptional detail in follow-up
