B2B Strategic Marketing Senior Advisor (Content/Messaging) - Pacific Time Zone

**Role Summary**
We are currently seeking a Segment Marketing Senior Advisor aligned to Evernorth, Cigna's Health Services business segment. This position is responsible for the development and execution of business-to-business strategic marketing in the form of **content development** , **differentiated** **market messaging, storytelling** and **overall marketing communications support** which will be dedicated to a specific PBM health plan client. There may also be some elements of business-to-consumer marketing that emerge as part of this strategic marketing support. This role will need to develop strong relationships with the client and with cross-functional partners across Evernorth responsible for the support of the client’s growth, upsell and retention objectives, including partnerships with solutions, public relations, social, competitive intelligence, sales training and government affairs teams. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ **Evaluation and review/marketing audit of client’s existing suite of sales and educational materials**
+ **Marketing Strategy Development and Thought Leadership** Coordination with client’s sales, marketing, training and pharmacy teams to build out annual marketing strategy to amplify client’s thought leadership and brand position specific to pharmacy
+ **Material and Messaging Development** Work cross-functionally to help develop and execute on meaningful and aligned market messages. Leverage business knowledge, research/data, and insights to optimize market messages and communications campaigns. Supports the development of key communications, including narratives, key messages, presentations, infographics, case studies and other collateral where differentiated market messages are critical to achieving sales, margin and differentiated messaging in the marketplace.Create training plan and materials to maximize value and impact of sales messaging.Messaging and material customization for specific audience segments, including:Consultants and brokersEmployer groups (possible segmentation by employee size) → existing clients and prospectsPharmaciesGeneral audience (e.g. publicly facing materials/information)
+ **Competitive and Industry Insights** Collaborate with Evernorth CI team to uncover insights and trends specific to the client’s region and prospect type
+ **External communications** Work with subject matter experts to understand new regulations and develop talking points for sales and/or executive leadership.
This is a business-to-business (B2B) marketing role that requires understanding of B2B marketing, healthcare (specifically pharmacy and medical-pharmacy integration) and/or segment marketing best practices in planning marketing strategies and overseeing tactical execution and measurement. The candidate will establish critical relationships with business partners that are experts in serving these clients and leverage their marketing expertise, along with forward-looking market and buyer trends, data-driven insights and modern marketing strategies, to position the client for success.
**SCOPE**
+ This position has no direct reports.
+ Responsible for developing marketing plans, campaigns and materials to meet business goals specific to their dedicated client.
+ Serves as conduit between the client, cross-functional partners, and marketing to advocate specific needs
+ Success will be measured by effectiveness of marketing initiatives in helping to meet client’s retention and margin upsell targets.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

+ Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft PowerPoint.

+ Ability to work Pacific Standard Time working hours regardless of “home-based” time zone
+ Travel required occasionally (~15%)

**IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL OFFER**
+ Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 7+ years of experience in communications or marketing or Master’s degree with a minimum 5+ years of experience in communications or marketing
+ Experience in integrated marketing communication campaigns,
+ Superior time management skills and verbal and communication skills.
+ Outstanding ability to translate the strategic communications needs of a client into appropriate and impactful creative executions.
+ Excellent ability to engage internal and external clients.
+ Excellent judgment in dealing with sensitive issues and confidential information.
+ Ability to take direction and to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality or attention to detail.
+ Knowledge of pharmacy and/or healthcare marketing a plus
+ Ability to work under extreme pressure and strict timelines, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to work from a corporate office 3 days a week, if applicable in your area
