Title: AWS Cloud Network Security Engineer  

Location: Frisco, TX (Hybrid)

*Must be in office 3 days a week*

Key Responsibilities:

AWS Cloud Network/Security Administration:

Design, Engineer and manage AWS Cloud solutions.Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot AWS Cloud systems to ensure optimal performance and security.Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and other maintenance activities for cloud systems.

NGINX Administration:

Design, Engineer and manage NGINX applications.Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot NGINX applications to ensure optimal performance and security.Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and other maintenance activities for NGINX systems.

Security Administration:

Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to ensure robust security measures and compliance with industry standards.Technical Support and Troubleshooting:Provide advanced technical support for AWS cloud networking issues.Mentor and guide junior engineers and IT support staff.

Documentation and Reporting:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud configurations, procedures, and processes.Generate regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS, NGINX+ and NGINX App protect.

Technical Skills:

AWS-specific skills: VPC Subnetting and Routing, VPN, Route53, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Lambda, VPC endpoints, ALBs, NLBs, GWLBs, CloudWatch, WAF, Shield Advanced, Global Accelerators, NFW, Private Link.Strong understanding of both NGINX+ and NGINX App ProtectStrong understanding of DDoS Mitigation TechniquesStrong understanding of the following network technologies: BGP, IPSec, SSL/TLS offloading, mTLS, NAT/PAT, Proxy, Reverse Proxy, IDS/IPS, L3/L4 Firewalls, iCAP.Experience and in-depth understanding of TCP/IP packets with ability to analyze captured packets for deep troubleshooting.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
