Associate Director of Design Engineering and Plant Support - Asia Pacific Region

Develop, implement and manage the day to day design engineering activities associated with both capital projects and plant support as part of the Global Engineering Leadership Team. Manage a group of leaders and subject matter experts, across multiple engineering and design disciplines, to deliver and support Solenis Sites in line with the company's Strategic and Business requirements.  

- Help to develop, implement and support the Global Engineering Community providing support, synergies, and solutions across regions.

- Build and manage a sustainable high performing Engineering organization providing broad knowledge and experience to the sites in the region.

- Proactively build relationships and networks across the business to support Engineering Services within the region, tailored to site and Solenis requirements.

- Provide strategic and tactical leadership to align and support to the requirements of the business.

- Align with the business prioritizing and identifying areas of positive impact, bringing financial benefit (SG&A benefits, Improved EBITDA).

- Support the Project Management Organization with management of contractors and outsourcing needs based on the ability, depth, and need of the projects.

- Help to establish an organization that builds and retains top talent, empowering the team to bring creativity and innovation allowing the team to have job satisfaction and feel valued.

- Coach and align employee`s development plans with organizational objectives.

- Engage future leaders by fostering their leadership development and empowerment.

- Development of succession plans.

- Deliver a professional and inclusive engineering service to all sites in the region.

- Build and manage a multi-discipline engineering organization to support the technical and compliance requirements of the Solenis sites.

- Create, implement and adhere to procedures, processes and standards associated with all engineering disciplines.

- Recognize and support career progression through leadership and technical learning paths.

- Promote a safety culture, pushing for continuous improvements across the engineering community.

- Demonstrate ownership of safety at all levels.

Job requirement:

- Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline

- Over 10 years experience leading large engineering enviroments, including Engineering Managers

- Implementation of significant organizational changes

- Aligning and prioritizing organizations to deliver Strategic business plans

- Managing Operational / Engineering budgets $15m+

- Operational management experience within the Chemical/Oil & Gas Industry

- Broad understanding of all technical engineering aspects associated with the Chemical Industry

- Good working knowledge of engineering design, operations and maintenance

- Member of Professional Body is preferred
