Job Overview/Summary:
The IT department provides and supports end-to-end technology solutions to meet the organization business needs, including aspects of application development, integration management, enterprise architecture, user experience design, quality assurance & testing, and overall product management.
The Associate Director Business Systems is responsible for the sound architecture and stability of core enterprise applications (including, but not limited to ServiceNow, OTIS, ATC), managing the technical, systems analysis and innovation teams. Working in partnership with departments and other IT groups, the Associate Director Business Systems will drive specific initiatives to improve scope and usability of enterprise application functionality. The role will need to secure leadership/governance support for recommendations and then partner closely across IT, vendors and stakeholders to execute on the solutions.
Major Responsibilities
Process and System Optimization: Drive optimization strategy and roadmap for applicable business applications, like ServiceNow or smaller apps like ATC. Partner with business stakeholders and governance teams to identify opportunities for enhancements and ensure alignment with business goals.Solution Design & Configuration: Oversee the design and configuration of business applications to meet organizational needs. Ensure solutions are user-centric and support business processes effectively, such as OTIS for awards management.Vendor management: Manage relationships with vendors and consultants, ensuring they deliver value and align with business objectives. Work with vendors to understand their product roadmaps and align/prioritize against business needs and resource allocation.Day-to-day application operations: Direct the applications team to manage daily operations, focusing on business requirements and user experience. Ensure solutions are developed based on business needs and agile methodologies, including direct support of ServiceNow as a platform.Application security management: Collaborate with business owners to establish security policies that meet IRC compliance requirements and support business operations.Configuration Management: Oversee the development workstream, ensuring configurations meet business requirements and are thoroughly tested. Implement customizations only when they provide unique value to the organization.Data Management: Provide guidance to ensure application data is accurately used and reported. Collaborate with the data team to enhance data governance related to business applications.System Infrastructure: Ensure the infrastructure supports business applications effectively, optimizing resource use and ensuring reliable performance.Quality Assurance: Ensure the QA team follows effective testing approaches that support business objectives.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, management information systems, or a related field10+ years of experience in implementing and supporting business applications, including specifications, process modeling, implementation, delivery architecture, configuration, training, integration, operations, and supportProven experience in providing administration and support for enterprise-level applications with substantial numbers of users across global time zones and varying IT infrastructure5+ years of experience with Agile and Waterfall Project Management methodologies in different team rolesAbility to communicate effectively in both verbal (i.e. day-to-day discussions, team meetings) and written (requirements and design specifications) form, as well as an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communicationsGood listening skills to understand and address business needs and concernStrong analytic curiosity and innovative problem-solving skills using a systems thinking approach.Proven ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional team structure.Proven ability to establish and maintain working relationships across all departments and levels of the organizationPreferred Skills

Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.
